“Hacking for Humanity”

It’s 2010. Hacking is now socially acceptable…as long as you’re “doing it for good”.  This weekend (June 4-6) there’s a Hackathon going on in DC, Sydney, Nairobi, Jakarta and Sao Paulo chock full of hacking and coding competitions for the sole purpose of creating software that saves lived.

Hackers: Using Their Power for Good

Definition of a hacker: One who hacks

lol JUST KIDDING. But I mean you DO picture some stoner huddling in the corner with a computer getting ALL his friend’s passwords. Only natural right?

But lately I’ve heard of hackers using their power for GOOD. Using their power just to LEARN how computer security works. …or so they say

I know if I had power like that, I’d be doing some pretty dangerous things..hehe
